It's been a little quiet on our blog, but that doesn't mean it's been quiet on Elm Street; that's right, we've been doing some late-nite drywalling again. Aw, shucks.
The walls were fairly straight forward, but it was our first time drywalling a ceiling. It's hard to explain how utterly exhausting ceiling drywalling is with two people and no special handy tools, but suffice it to say, I promptly contacted three drywalling companies to finish the rest of the second floor after that experience. (It's now a few weeks later, and it appears I've already forgotten how horrible it was, because we started drywalling the other bathroom this afternoon. Unbelievable, Ayumi.)

We got 8' and 12' greenboard (water resistant drywall), which was a complete mistake. 12 footers are 1.5x as heavy as 8 footers, doh. |

up it goes. the easy part. |
We definitely did not have the mental or physical wherewithal to take pictures while we were ceiling drywalling (I was basically shouting hurry up, hurry up, hurry up, to Dan the whole time who is balancing his side of the drywall on his head while trying to drill the screws in the hold it in place) and I thought about drawing some diagrams in Paint, but it was too hard. So here are some pictures of what it looks like right now:

The walls were painted a very very light shade of gray (Pittsburgh paints, ash mist in eggshell finish) and the ceiling is painted white (Pittsburgh paints, delicate white in eggshell finish).
Pot lights are 12$ each from Home Depot, which is dirt cheap compared to other lighting and makes me wonder why I
ever install anything besides these pot lights. This bathroom just may be finished before Christmas!
